The head of the Presidency of the Republic, Kamel Al-Dulaimi, stressed: “The attacks and violations that the Yazidis, Christians, Shabaks, other women and their children were subjected to by the terrorist ISIS gangs are major crimes against humanity.”

Al-Dulaimi said in a speech he delivered on behalf of the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, during the special conference on the genocide of the Yazidi component: “Ten years have passed since the heinous crime committed by the bats of darkness from the members of the terrorist ISIS organization against our people from the Yazidi component, and at that time they violated the sanctity of the sons of the homeland and shed the blood of the innocent and defiled the honor of safe Iraqi women and kidnapped them with the children with brutal brutality, after they killed the men and spread corruption on the earth, destroying, burning and looting everything that the eye sees or the hands reach, and they destroyed the crops and the offspring.”

He adde
d: “The attacks and violations that the Yazidi, Christian, Shabak sisters, other women and their children were subjected to are forbidden by the true Islamic religion and all heavenly and human religions and customs, and are considered by human rights organizations, free countries and regimes to be major crimes against humanity that make one’s forehead tremble and shudder, and aim to return time to the ages of ignorance and darkness and trafficking in people’s lives, by stopping the wheel of civilization and opening slave markets and captives and enslaving God’s free creation.” He continued, “The Presidency of the Republic, in cooperation with the Council of Ministers and other state authorities, has sought to put an end to these crimes and violations and to promote human rights, through military and security means, then legislative and legal means. Efforts have been made and are still working to alleviate the sorrows and heal the wounds of our people. The Presidency of the Republic has proposed the Yazidi Su
rvivors Law No. (8) of 2021, and many of its paragraphs have been implemented, the most prominent of which was the establishment of the General Directorate of Yazidi Survivors Affairs in order to seek to restore rights and preserve a dignified and safe life away from violations, kidnapping, captivity and disappearance.” He continued, “The file of the displaced has been, and still is, occupying a large part of our work, and we hope to enhance efforts to rebuild the city of Sinjar and organize administrative matters in it to provide basic services and create an appropriate environment for the return of the displaced and live safely and peacefully in their areas.
