Arab League: Supporting legal action to ensure Palestinians’ rights “important”

The Arab League affirmed on Sunday that it was important support all legal measures to ensure the rights of the Palestinian people.

Speaking to the press on the sideline of the second meeting for the Arab committee to support Palestinian legal rights, Assistant Secretary General for Palestinian and Occupied Arab Lands Affairs at the League Saeed Abu-Ali said that it was vital to hold such meetings for the sake of people of Palestine.

He added that the meeting would discuss legal mechanisms to look into the legal rights of the Palestinian people and achieve justice for them.

Providing legal protection to Palestinians against Israeli aggression and violations would also be discussed, he affirmed.

He revealed that the gathering would also look into the plead motion submitted by international lawyer Dr. Ralph Wilder on part of the Arab League to the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
