Arab League emergency meeting begins amid intensifying Israeli aggression

The work of the Arab League Council began in its extraordinary session at the level of permanent delegates, headed by Yemen, President of the 162nd session, at the request of the State of Palestine.

The delegation of the State of Palestine was headed by its delegate to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk, in the presence of First Counselor Rizq Al-Zaanin, First Counselor Tamer Al-Tayeb, and Diplomatic Attaché Maher Masoud.

The meeting is being held in light of the continued crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people and in light of the entry of the crime of genocide committed by Israel, the occupying power, against the Palestinian people, into a more brutal phase through which the Israeli aggression aims to exterminate Palestinian civilians and implement forced displacement, destruction and starvation, especially in the northern Gaza Strip.
