Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmad Abul-Gheit and visiting Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Saturday discussed a number of regional and international issues, primarily the latest developments of Gaza, Sudan and Libya.

They also looked into the adverse reflections of the ongoing situation in Ukraine at both international and European levels, the Cairo-based league’s spokesman Jamal Rushdi said in a press statement.

Abul-Gheit commended the distinguished relations between the Arab world and Serbia, particularly in political and economic areas, along with mechanisms of cooperation and collaboration between both sides regarding regional and international matters of common interest, he added.

The Serbian president, for his part, spoke highly of Serian-Arab ties, hailing his visit to the Arab League as reflecting his country’s willingness to bolster bilateral bonds.
