An informed source confirmed that the dialogues between the parties to the political process in Diyala are continuing in order to reach an agreement that satisfies the political blocs participating in the political process.
The source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that the political blocs are continuing their dialogues in order to expedite the development of a roadmap for the formation of a local government in Diyala, the delay of which has affected the service, economic and social reality.
He added that the State of Law Coalition has put forward several names for the position of Diyala Governor, including Abdul Rasoul Al-Atabi, who obtained 7 votes within the provincial council and is awaiting the addition of other votes to complete the formation of a consensus government in the province.
