United States of America on Friday announced its intention to permanently remove the floating dock off the coast of Gaza Strip.

White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said in a press conference that the pier would be completely removed because it was no longer needed to deliver aid to Gaza.

He stressed that the final decision in this regard will be announced by the US Central Command, Centcom, however, “I expect that we will completely stop dock operations in a short time.”

According to his claim, “the problem in Gaza no longer lies in bringing aid in, but rather in ensuring that it reaches people safely.”

It is worth noting that the pier was damaged due to strong winds and waves that hit it on May 25, a little more than a week after it began operating, so it was removed for some repairs.

On June 7, it was reinstalled and used for about a week, then removed again due to bad weather on June 14.

Days later, it was reinstalled, but strong waves forced the American forces to remove it for the t
hird time on June 28, and it was reinstalled again on Wednesday.
