Baghdad, Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Muayad Al-Lami.
During the meeting, Al-Sudani stressed, according to a statement by the Prime Minister’s Media Office, the government’s support for journalistic work, and its keenness to provide a safe environment that ensures journalists can exercise their media role in all transparency, which was embodied in the legislation of the Right to Access to Information Law, in addition to basic legislation related to freedom of journalistic work.
The meeting discussed preparations for the conference that will be held by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate on the occasion of the 155th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi press, in which Arab press unions and federations will participate, in addition to broad participation of foreign delegations.
