Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani stressed: “Our Noble Messenger Muhammad (may God bless him and his family and grant them peace) is the great light that descended as a child and grew up and was raised in the holiest place on earth, Mecca Al-Mukarramah.”
Al-Sudani said in a speech at the ceremony held on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday at Umm Al-Qura Mosque in Baghdad: “How much we need today to restore the authentic values of the Messenger so that our societies can be fortified against suspicious behaviors that threaten our moral system.”
He added: “We must arm ourselves with the Book of God and the Sunnah of His great Prophet to protect ourselves and our societies from dangers and evils.”
