The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, directed the necessity of adopting the continuous development of the work of the National Security Service to confront the new methods used by criminals and outlaws, stressing his support for any security effort assigned to the Service, and rejecting any pressure exerted on the officers and members of the Service during Carrying out their assigned security duties.
A statement from his media office said, ‘The Commander-in-Chief of the Survey Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, this afternoon, Sunday, paid a visit to the headquarters of the National Security Service, during which he held a meeting that included the head of the Service and its officials, in which he reviewed the work of the Service and its plans prepared to enhance security and pursue organized crime in the country.’
He added, “Al-Sudani praised the efforts made by the employees of the National Security Service to confront the various security challenges, in multiple stages. H
e also remembered the martyrs of the Service who rose while confronting crime gangs, and stressed that continuing to work at a high pace is a return for their great sacrifices.”
Al-Sudani stressed the privacy of the Service as an important security institution to support security throughout the country, and the necessity of keeping it away from political tensions and connections.
He referred to the recently approved National Security Service law, and stressed the importance of it being the beginning of a new phase of work and the achievement of security achievements. He also directed the necessity of adopting continuous development of the Service’s work to confront the new methods resorted to by criminals and outlaws, stressing his support for any security effort entrusted to the agency, and rejecting any pressure exerted on officers and members of the Service while carrying out their assigned security duties.
Al-Sudani renewed his previous assurances and directives not to accept any hesitation or decline
in the work of the Service, as well as not to accept any loose ends to crimes. He also directed the necessity of achieving justice among members working in the Service, in addition to good dealings with the citizen.
Al-Sudani pointed to the reforms that the government has initiated in the field of the economy and the fight against corruption and economic crime, and these priorities require continuous and parallel work with the wheel of growth that the country is witnessing.
