Al-Naimi and Al-Durra review unloading and transporting goods activity in Hodeida port

The Supreme Political Council’s member, Muhammad Saleh Al-Nuaimi, and Transport Minister in the caretaker government, Abdul-Wahab Al-Durra, were briefed today,Monday, on the activity of unloading and transporting goods at Hodeida port.

During the visit to the container terminal, berths and yards of the port, Al-Naimi and Al-Durrah heard from the head of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, marine engineer Yasser Ahmed Muhammad, and his deputy Zaid Al-Washli, an explanation of the operating work, activities, plans and studies related to developing the port , increasing the berths, and promoting work in the port, which is witnessing pressure in receiving ships

Al-Naimi pointed out that the visit comes to review the performance and evaluate the navigational and commercial activity in Hodeida Port, its workflow, the plans of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, its future projects, the difficulties it faces, and to study proposals for solutions to improve performance level.

He praised the remarkable activity in th
e port and the efforts of Transport Ministry leadership , the Corporation , the workers in facilitating and facilitating work in light of the current circumstances that the country is going through as a result of the aggression and blockade.

He stressed the importance of employing the available capabilities for the benefit of infrastructure development, pointing to the interest of the Supreme Political Council and the government in Hodeida ports and the crew working there to overcome the difficulties that will help enhance its activity during the coming period.

The senior political member stressed the importance of the role of Hodeida ports in supporting the national economy and employing manpower.

Meanwhile, the caretaker Minister of Transport explained that Hodeida port is operating at full operational capacity, pointing out that the measures implemented at the port have contributed to reducing the pressure it faces.

Al-Durra valued the cooperation and coordination between all sectors operating in the p
ort, which had a positive impact on the reception of ships and the speed of unloading their cargo.

Minister Al-Durra confirmed that the movement of commercial container ships, and all ships in the Red Sea, whether arriving at the Republic of Yemen ports or elsewhere, is completely safe.

He pointed out that the maritime ban is limited to ships of the Zionist entity and ships heading to the occupied Palestinian ports, until food and medicine are allowed to enter Gaza Strip and the Zionist aggression against the Strip ends.
