Head of the State of Law Coalition Nouri al-Maliki stressed Iraq’s keenness to strengthen cooperation ties with Kuwait in various fields, especially security, in light of the historical relations.

The Coalition stated in a statement: “Al-Maliki met in his office today with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Interior of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Fahd Youssef Saud Al-Sabah.”

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the region.

The head of the State of Law Coalition expressed his welcome to the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Interior of the State of Kuwait, stressing Iraq’s keenness to strengthen cooperation ties in various fields, especially security, in light of the historical relations that bind the two countries.

For his part, Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah stressed that his visit comes within the framework of the close relations between the two brotherly countri
es, stressing his country’s interest in strengthening cooperation mechanisms and exchanging expertise with the Iraqi security services.
