The branch of the General Authority for Rural Water Projects in Ibb province received on Thursday from the implementing agency al-Ashraf Water Project – al-Ashraf area in in Dhi-al-Sufal district of Ibb.

The project, which costs $41,869 and is funded by Oxfam and supervised by the Rural Water Authority branch, serves more than five thousand people from this area in providing their needs for clean drinking water.

Director of the authority’s branch in the province Majed al-Shami explained that the project was handed over to the operating management from the beneficiaries.

Al-Shami noted that its implementation comes within the framework of the efforts made to provide the water needs of remote areas.

He stressed the importance of preserving the project and managing it in a way that ensures its sustainability and community service, expressing hope for continued donor support for the rural water sector.
