The Deputy Governor of Sana’a Province, Mohammed Dahan, inaugurated on Thursday in Al-Dumam and Al-Sanaf villages in Hamadan district, the market of the Brotherhood Agricultural Cooperative Society for marketing agricultural products of vegetables and fruits “point of sale”.

The market, which was established with funding from the Small and Micro Enterprise Development Agency (SMEPS) and community participation, at a cost of 43,500 dollars, and the association contributed 23,500 dollars, aims to alleviate farmers’ suffering in the region during the process of marketing their agricultural crops.

During the inauguration, along with the head of the development team in the province, Abdullah Al-Marouni, the director of the directorate, Jubran Ghobar, and the deputy director of social affairs, Mohammed Al-Rishani, Agent Dahan praised the farmers’ interaction and their interest in developing their various agricultural products and marketing them.

The heads of the Northern Sector Association, Fayez Saree, and the
Brotherhood Association, Ali Al-Sanafi, explained that the association is working to develop mechanisms for the production of agricultural crops, fruits and vegetables in the region by providing equipment for farming, harvesting, and organizing supply mechanisms to points of sale.

They confirmed the availability of four sales points belonging to the association in the province and the Capital Secretariat.

For their part, the farmers praised the role of the president and members of the association in providing the necessary equipment and farming tools that suit the conditions , nature of the region and organizing the mechanism to benefit from them in order to alleviate farmers’ suffering , create new job opportunities for villagers and non-farmers.
