The Baghdad Joint Operations Command detachments arrested a number of suspects, including an impersonator (a colonel in one of the security services).
A statement by the Baghdad Operations Command stated: ‘The joint Baghdad Operations Command detachments carried out a number of checkpoint installation duties (surprise and temporary), which resulted in the arrest of a number of defendants according to various legal articles, including a person impersonating an officer (colonel) in one of the security services and others for crimes (criminal, forgery, drug promotion and use, possession of unlicensed weapons), and the seizure of 13 pistols and 4 rifles of various types, and the seizure of a number of vehicles and motorcycles violating traffic regulations, and the seizure of a quantity of narcotic substances and their use devices in addition to expired medicines on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa.
