Hodeida province undersecretary Amer Muthanna and Bajil District Director Abdumoneim al-Rifai on Monday began distributing food aid to flood victims in the district.

The aid included 300 food baskets given to families in al-Khalfiyah, al-Khadariyah, and al-Jamadi areas of Bajil.

This distribution, organized by the General Authority for Zakat, is part of an emergency response project aimed at easing the suffering of those affected by the floods.

During the event, Undersecretary Muthanna praised the Zakat Authority’s role in supporting flood relief efforts and helping residents whose homes and properties were damaged.

District Director al-Rifai emphasized the importance of this aid in helping families cope with the disaster’s impact.

Abdullah al-Khawlani, Director of the Zakat Office in Bajil, noted that the distribution aligns with the directives of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the Zakat Authority to assist those in need.
