Al-Salihi: Our security forces will uncover the circumstances of the Kirkuk bombing crime


The head of the Turkmen parliamentary bloc, MP Arshad Al-Salihi, confirmed his confidence in the security and intelligence services in their ability to arrest those involved in the terrorist bombing that targeted Al-Musalla area in the center of Kirkuk city, which resulted in the injury of a member of the Turkmen Front and a number of citizens.

This came during Al-Salihi’s meeting, today, Saturday, accompanied by a member of the Kirkuk Provincial Council, Ahmed Ramzi Koberlu, with the Commander of Kirkuk Operations, Major General Saleh Haraz, in the presence of a number of commanders of the Iraqi army divisions.

The two sides discussed the overall security situation in Kirkuk Governorate and the repercussions of the recent bombing, as Al-Salihi stressed the importance of tightening security measures to ensure the safety of citizens and uncover the threads of this cowardly crime

US-British raids west of Hodeidah, Yemen


Houthi-affiliated media reported late Friday that three US-British raids took place on the coastal cemetery area west of Hodeidah, Yemen.

The US military carried out 15 airstrikes on Friday on targets linked to the Yemeni Houthi group, as residents reported explosions at military sites and an airport.

The Central Command said the targets were linked to Houthi offensive military capabilities, but did not provide details, and whether this included missiles, drones or radar systems.

Baghdad Operations Command forces arrested 11 people accused of various criminal offenses.

The Command stated in a statement that its joint detachments arrested 11 people accused, including three carrying 18 SIM cards, 5 passports, and 4 ownership documents /annuals / for various types of vehicles without authorization, and others in their possession of unlicensed weapons and narcotic substances, and seized 5 pistols, one rifle with a drone, in addition to seizing a number of vehicles and motorcycles violating traffic controls.

He explained that the arrests came through the installation of “temporary” surprise checkpoints on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa.

Kuwait Acting Education Min. praises teachers’ efforts

Kuwaiti Acting Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Nader Al-Jallal said on Saturday that Kuwait proudly appreciates teacher’s efforts in the educational sector.

He emphasized that the attention given to education is a reflection in the generous patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who gives all his attention and appreciation to teachers.

Al-Jallal said in a press statement issued by the Ministry of Education on World Teachers’ Day, which falls on October 5th, that education is one of the most important pillars on which national renaissance depends.

He stressed that the official annual teachers celebration held by the Ministry of Education embodies His Highness’s keenness to follow up on their affairs and support them in all local and international events.

Palestinian martyred by Israeli occupation gunfire in W. Bank

A Palestinian man was martyred by Israeli occupation forces’ bullets in Tubas City in the West Bank, according to Palestinian media reports.

The young man, Ahmad Awaysa, 30, was killed after being shot with live bullets during his detention, Palestinian security sources were quoted by the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) as saying.

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Prisoners Club said that the occupation forces had detained Awaysa from his family’s home in Wadi Al-Far’a in Tubas City after besieging and storming the house and then shooting him dead.

Awaysa is a freed prisoner who was released from Israeli occupying prisons on August 22 after having served two years in Israeli prison.
