Kuwait Amir congratulates newly elected Japanese PM

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Thursday a cable of congratulations to Shigeru Ishiba on being elected Japan’s Prime Minister.

In the cable, His Highness wished him all the success in carrying out his duties, and Japan further progress and prosperity, stressing the deep historical relations between the two countries and keenness on strengthening them.

Nine killed in Israeli airstrike on Bashoura, Beirut


BEIRUT: The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported today that nine individuals were killed and 14 others were injured due to an airstrike carried out by Israeli occupation forces on the Bashoura district of Beirut, Lebanon’s capital.

The assault is part of a broader pattern of attacks by Israeli forces on various regions in Lebanon over the last weeks, resulting in significant casualties and widespread destruction of buildings, infrastructure, and public facilities.

In addition to the airstrike in Beirut, Israeli warplanes and artillery targeted multiple towns in southern Lebanon including Bent Jbeil, Aytaroun, Arnoun, Tayr Harfa, Alma al-Shaab, Marjayoun, Dhayra and others in the region.

Earlier in the day, a separate strike in Beirut targeted a Civil Defense headquarters, leading to the murder of seven individuals and additional injuries.

Israeli occupation forces’ airstrike on Beirut area kills 6, injures 7

The Lebanese Public Health Ministry’s Emergency Operations Center announced Thursday that an Israeli occupation airstrike at dawn, on the area of Bashoura in Beirut, killed six and injured seven.

The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), reported that the airstrike targeted a center affiliated with the Health Authority, and that they used phosphorous bombs which is internationally prohibited.

The southern suburb of Beirut was also attacked by occupation warplanes, in addition to being bombed from the sea, the number of raids, which continued until four in the morning, reached 17 raids.

Since September 23, Lebanon has been witnessing violent air strikes at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces on various regions, causing countless deaths and displacing more than one million people.

Death toll across Gaza Strip surges to 41,788, over 96,794 injured


GAZA: Israeli occupation forces committed eight massacres against families in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, resulting in the killing of at least 90 Palestinians and the injury of 169 others, according to medical sources.

They said that the Palestinian death toll from the Israel’s ongoing aggression since October 7 has surged to 41,788 reported fatalities, with an additional 96,794 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.

Meanwhile, emergency services are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads, as Israeli occupation forces continue to obstruct the movement of ambulance and civil defense crews.

Rapid Response Division Arrests a Terrorist Accused in Maysan

The First Regiment of the Fourth Brigade of the Rapid Response Division Command was able to arrest a terrorist accused in Maysan.

A statement from the division stated: “The accused is wanted according to the provisions of Article (1/4) of the Iraqi Penal Code and an unlicensed light weapon was seized in his possession.”

The statement added: “The operation was carried out in cooperation with the Directorate of Intelligence and Anti-Terrorism in the governorate and the Falcons Intelligence Cell, and in cooperation with the Rapid Response Intelligence Department, indicating that the wanted person and the seized items were handed over to the requesting party in accordance with the law.”

Over 15 Palestinians detained by Israeli forces in occupied West Bank


RAMALLAH: Israeli occupation detained 15 Palestinians, former detainees, in a series of raids across the occupied West Bank over the last 24 hours, according to local sources.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) and the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission reported in a joint statement that the total number of detentions since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, has exceeded 11,000, affecting all segments of Palestinian society.

The report also highlighted the detention of numerous Palestinian workers and thousands from Gaza, with many still unaccounted for due to ongoing enforced disappearances.

The organizations noted that the sustained detention campaigns have been accompanied by incidents of extrajudicial killings, direct gunfire prior to arrests, severe physical abuse, and intensive field interrogations.

Reports also detail the use of police dogs, human shields, and hostages during these operations. Widespread destruction of homes, confiscation of pro
perty, vehicles, money, gold, and electronic devices has also been documented, alongside the demolition and blasting of homes belonging to prisoners.

These detentions are also part of a broader military offensive against the Palestinian population. Data related to these detentions includes both those still detained and those released later, reflecting the scale and impact of the ongoing crackdown.

Lebanese Health Ministry: 1974 people killed and 9384 injured since the start of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon

Lebanese Minister of Health Firas Al-Abyad reported today, Thursday, that 1974 people were killed, including 127 children and 261 women, and 9384 injured since the start of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon.

The Ministry of Health announced that the victims of the Israeli raid on Al-Bashoura area near central Beirut had risen to 9 dead and 14 wounded.

The Israeli forces are launching intensive raids targeting villages in southern and eastern Lebanon, and the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The Israeli targeting expanded today to include the Al-Maaysara area in the outskirts of Keserwan / Mount Lebanon, and the town of Kaifun in the Aley district.

UNRWA: Gaza residents have been living in indescribable terror for a year

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Thursday that the people of Gaza have been living in “indescribable” terror for a year due to the aggression of the Israeli occupation forces.

UNRWA Communications Officer Louise Waterridge said in a post on the X platform that ‘the Gaza Strip has been subjected to continuous Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023, and that the war on Gaza has been going on for one year, resulting in the displacement of 1.9 million Palestinians and the killing of more than 41,000.’

She explained that “the horror that the people of Gaza have been suffering from for 12 months, every day and every hour, cannot be described.”

Waterridge pointed out that the hospitals smelled of blood, and that doctors were unable to save the lives of many children.
